Title: Bringing behavior analytic interventions to scale at the state-wide level: Issues and challenges

Abstract: Individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) benefit from interventions based in the science of behavior analysis. Although a number of states are developing comprehensive policies to address ASD supports across the lifespan, a model for successful dissemination of behavior analytic technology at the state wide-level is lacking. This presentation will address issues and challenges related to building capacity for behavior analytic interventions. Practitioner training, legislative buy-in, financial support, and policy variables will be discussed. Considerations for successful dissemination of behavior analytic interventions at the state-wide level will be offered.
